Tesla Inc. is recalling 14,100 of its Model S electric sedans in China to replace passenger-side frontal airbags whose Takata Corp. inflators could explode, says the country’s Administration of Market Regulation.

The campaign is the third phase in a rolling recall that began three years ago. The callbacks affect Model S vehicles made between 2012 and 2016, French news service AFP reports.

Faulty Takata inflators have been blamed for at least 24 fatalities and 130 serious injuries worldwide. Roughly 200 million of the devices have been targeted for replacement by 19 carmakers worldwide.
