Fletcher to Head GM’s Global EV Programs

General Motors Co. has appointed Pamela Fletcher to the new position of vice president of global electric vehicle programs.

Fletcher will report to Doug Parks, vice president of autonomous and electric vehicle programs. Her responsibilities will include overseeing the development and launch of the 20 new EVs GM plans to introduce worldwide by 2023.

Fletcher has served in GM engineering leadership roles for more than a decade. Most recently she was executive chief engineer in charge of the company’s electrified vehicles and new technologies.

She is credited with leading the development of several EVs, including the Cadillac ELR and Chevrolet Bolt, Spark and second-generation Volt. Her team also led development of Super Cruise, the hands-free highway driver assist system, which was recently launched in the Cadillac CT6 sedan.
