Nissan Motor Co. has begun a second recall of 341,000 cars in the U.S. with rear doors that may unlatch and open when their windows are lowered.

The campaign involves 2015-2017 Altima midsize sedans (left) previously called back to fix the same problem.

Both recalls are intended to reroute a cable that operates the door latch. The misrouted cable may be snagged by the window mechanism, which can pull on it and causing the door to unlatch when the window is lowered.

The new repair procedure adds steps for technicians to verify the correct cable routing. The revised repair also adds clips to ensure that the cable can’t slip out of position again.
