Nissan Motor Co. will recall another 150,000 vehicles in Japan that were improperly inspected.

The company says final checks on the brakes and steering for the affected cars were handled by noncertified technicians.

The same issue has prompted Nissan to recall and re-inspect 1.2 million vehicles across 42 model lines since October 2017.

The new batch of vehicles is the fourth in 14 months related to botched government-mandated final checks. Nissan has recalled 1.2 million vehicles across 42 model lines since October 2017.
