Geely Auto Group has opened a 300-engineer research facility in Raunheim, Germany, to work on electric propulsion and advanced mobility technologies.

Geely Auto Group has opened a 300-engineer research facility in Raunheim, Germany, to work on electric propulsion and advanced mobility technologies.

The office, called Geely Auto Technical Deutschland, is located near the Frankfurt airport and joins Geely r&d centers in China, Sweden and England. The operations at all locations are under the direction of Geely Chief Technology Office Feng Qing Feng.

Geely says it currently has 2,500 engineers working on new-energy technologies. Parent Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, owns Lotus, London Electric Vehicle Co., Lynk & Co and Volvo Cars.
