FCA Recall Targets Minivan Steering Defect

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV will recall 47,800 of its Chrysler Pacifica minivans in the U.S. to fix steering components that could fail and make the vehicles difficult to control.

The campaign involves 2018 model Chrysler Pacifica minivans, including hybrid variants. FCA says the issue involves the connection between the right front lower control arm and steering knuckle.

Dealers will inspect the components and replace parts as necessary. They also will install a larger-diameter bolt used to secure the two structures. The recall is expected to begin on April 19.
